The Alumni Association, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (“the Association”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of the personal data shared by our alumni, patrons, and student associates in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and applicable regulatory frameworks.

2. Data We Collect & Verification

To maintain the integrity of our verified alumni register and judicial fraternity network, we collect:

• Institutional identification: Name, DU Enrollment / Examination Number, Faculty Centre (Campus Law Centre, Law Centre-I, or Law Centre-II), and LL.B./LL.M. Batch.
• Bar Credentials: State Bar Council Enrollment Number, primary courts of practice, and designation.
• Contact information: Primary email address, mobile number, and correspondence address.
• Chamber & professional profiles: Firm affiliations, clerkship openings, or mentorship availability slots.

3. Non-Commercial Use & Strict Confidentiality

We never sell, rent, or lease alumni contact records to third-party commercial recruiters, advertisers, or data brokers. Information provided is exclusively utilized for:

• Authenticating alumni status and granting portal access.
• Publishing verified profiles in the opt-in Alumni Directory.
• Broadcasting centenary reunion notices, academic circulars, and legal colloquia.
• Facilitating pro bono coordination, chamber clerkship matching, and court pass-over assistance.

4. Member Sovereignty & Privacy Controls

Every member has complete control over their directory visibility via their Dashboard Settings Hub. You may choose to display your profile publicly, restrict visibility strictly to verified fellow alumni, or mask personal phone and email addresses. Members can also request a complete archive export or deletion of their account records at any time under DPDP Right to Erasure protocols.
