Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Contributions

A contribution is a voluntary gift to the Association and is not ordinarily refundable once it has been received. We will refund a contribution in full when:

• the same gift was paid twice, or an amount was entered by mistake (for example, an extra zero);
• the payment was made without the account holder's permission;
• the payment came from a foreign source, which the Association cannot accept; or
• the payment could not be matched to a gift on this site, for example because it arrived after the order had closed.

Write to the Secretariat within 7 days of the payment, with the tracking reference from your confirmation email and the reason. Payments that this site could not apply to a gift are found by our daily checks and refunded without waiting for a request.

2. How a Refund Is Paid

• An online payment (UPI or card) is refunded in full to the same account or card it came from, through our payment provider, Razorpay. It usually reaches you within 5 to 7 working days of being sent, depending on your bank.
• A bank transfer is refunded by bank transfer to the account it came from.
• The whole amount is refunded. The Association bears any fee the payment provider charged.
• The receipt for a refunded gift is cancelled and a credit note is issued, and the gift no longer counts towards any fund or honour roll.

3. Cancellation

• An online payment that is not completed within 24 hours is cancelled automatically. Nothing is charged.
• Bank transfer details that cannot be matched to our bank statement within 60 days are marked not matched, and you are told by email. If money did leave your account, write to us with the transfer reference and we will trace it. You can follow any gift on the Track page.
• Once a payment has been completed it cannot be cancelled by the donor; ask for a refund as set out above.

4. Membership Fees

• If your membership application is declined after you have paid, the fee is refunded in full: an online payment automatically, a bank transfer by return transfer.
• An application whose online fee is not paid within 24 hours is withdrawn and nothing is charged. You are welcome to apply again.
• Once an application has been approved, the membership fee is not refundable.

5. Disputed Payments

If something looks wrong, please write to us before raising a dispute with your bank or card issuer: we can usually trace a payment within a working day. The Association never asks for card details, PINs or one-time passwords, and its bank details appear only on this website.
